Did you know that Park City residents can get paid to xeriscape their yards?

Park City recently launched a landscape initiative program aptly nicknamed “cash for grass”. The program was launched on May 1 and will rebate homeowners up to $2 per square foot of grass removed. The only requirement is that the grass be replaced with water- and fire-wise landscaping. 

Currently, for the pilot of this program, the city has budgeted $200,000 with the potential to double that in next year’s budget. It is important to note that these funds will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, the maximum allocation for single-family homes is $10,000, and $50,000 for businesses.
