There is not much room for a sedentary life here. The majority of activities are outdoor or physically driven, and residents have a health-focused lifestyle. Families and people of all ages will have no trouble finding something to do. Social engagement is very high, with much activity revolving around golf during the summer and skiing during the winter. The Park Meadows Country Club takes the fine-dining experience to the upper echelon with Nine and Dines. Club members at the will enjoy a leisurely nine rounds of golf, followed by meals designed only by the executive chef. Off-site, you can grab a bite from Five5eeds, but be sure to snap a picture of the aesthetically pleasing cuisine before you do. Fill your stomach with holiday buffets prepared on special occasions such as Christmas and July 4th. There is not much shopping or entertainment in Park Meadows itself, but you can ride over to Historic Old Street for all of the shops and entertainment that you desire.
Things to Do in Park Meadows
Soak up the scenery at the Park Meadows Country Club while hitting a hole in one. Renovated in 2009, the club stayed true to the original Nicklaus design. The impressive course is surrounded by a backdrop that will surely draw attention away from your swing. A considerable list of acclaimed golfers, including Arnold Palmer, has come to compete at this course.
Nicklaus also was thoughtful of all age ranges, offering courses for young golfers to become acclimated while parents golf. Grab your putt bag and head to the 7,400-yard course that has served as the hosting ground for the PGA Senior Open on 10 different occasions.
No golf or country club is fully equipped without the finest amenities. Not everyone likes to golf 24/7. Rather, some may want to get a sweat in at the 2,000-square-foot fitness center. Grind out a group exercise, recover with pilates, or just enjoy the equipment alone. After your workout, relax in the high-tech lounge.
